The center of mass of it has migrated over the time. At the moment, it seems to be some mixture of money, politics and being a standup comedian/TV show personality. As most of US people are too busy, indifferent, or not willing to understand politics, be it international or domestic, they can follow only simple things: good guys, bad guys, more money, less money, no money. This is fun! This is good stuff.
I will show them! I will beat them up! It is a wonderful life over here. Cool.
