Rosarito-Ensenada, Fall 2015

Came one day before the race, stayed in hotel with Lyuba in Guadalupe Wine Country.  Arrived to start line early.   It was very hot in the mountains. My best time in many years, 2 hours 58 minutes,  or #308 out of about 3000. Did not cramp.

Ruta Del Vino ride, Mexico, Baja California Norte, near Guadalupe

36 miles total?  Average moving speed of 15.4 miles/hour; total time 2 hours 29 minutes, finished 195 out of about 1000. It was fun; I was not pushing much. The climb was difficult but not too long.

Alpine Challenge and Rosarito-Ensenada, May 2015

Alpine Challenge was a small, enjoyable ride. ~ 300 people, well organized, a lot of climbing (6300' over 62 miles). It was raining most of the time, but it was not cold.  My average speed was 11.1 or so.  I may do it again; I liked both the climb and the dissent.  Then next weekend I went to Rosarito---the bus was late again because of the customs; We arrived to the start line at 11.00 am.  So, I had to push hard to squeeze through all the mountain bikers--- in the end it took 3 hour 17 minutes to complete.

Another ride to San Clemente

This is my traditional, the-end-of-the year ride. Because of the circumstances beyond my control, had to do it in January... 98 miles, 13.5 average. Yep.

Listening toooo much to Paul McCartney 's music made my stomach sick!  Sorry Paul, your music is great anyway.
