Going to Boise, Idaho for a week! Plan to visit some State Parks there. Maybe even will go to Eastern Oregon.

Rain in San Diego over the weekend...We had lightning and thunder...My knee hurts.

Costume competition at the Rosarito-Ensenada race: Super Woman, ???, ??? Knight of the Round Table, Batman, Tinkerbell and Red Riding Hood (?). The Knight of the Round Table won. (I do not know how was he riding with his sword.)

I am back from Rosarito-Ensenada bike race. It was fewer people than usual. As always, I travelled with the Outback Adventures bus from San Diego. It was only one bus this time (more precisely, one bus and one van). I was told that at the peak, there were 12 buses going from San Diego... The highest race number I have seen was ~3500 -- which is about 2x less than before.
There was however clearly more riders from Mexico-- I would say, ~3/4 of the riders looked hispanic/local.
The ride went great. The weather was perfect: cool and breezy at the start, then moderately hot in the mountains --- then cool again approaching Ensenada. My personal statistics this time was measured using Garmin Forerunner watch, which is more accurate than my bike computer. Here its is: Distance: 50.14 miles; time: 2.57.41 (running +idle) ascent: 2840'; Speed (average/max): 16.9/30.9 mile/hour; heart rate: 155/173. The average  speed as measured with my  bike computer was 17.5 miles/hour, which is because it measures the moving speed only, and probably slightly off in calibration.
